Led by Tank Mosley, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and professional dog trainer with over 15 years of experience, our team takes a results-driven yet compassionate approach to every dog we meet. About Tank
Tank Mosley is the proud owner and head trainer of Obedience Kings Dog Training. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran (2000–2006) and professional dog trainer with over 15 years of hands-on experience, Tank has dedicated his life to helping dogs and their owners achieve true harmony through structure, effort, and clarity.
His love for dogs began early, inspired by his father, and has since evolved into a lifelong mission to bring out the best in every dog he works with. Tank’s balanced training approach is rooted in patience, consistency, and clear communication—core values that mirror his military background and his belief that effort equals clarity.
Alongside his fiancée Cassandra, and their three cats, Toby, Minou, and Lucy—who happily “assist” with training—Tank leads Obedience Kings with heart and discipline. From obedience and behavioral correction to advanced personal protection training, Tank ensures every client receives the dedication and results their dog deserves.

About Shaye
Hi there! I’m Shaye — a teacher, stepmom, and proud fiancée who’s happiest when surrounded by family, laughter, and a couple of wagging tails. My two Cocker Spaniel puppies keep life exciting (and a little bit muddy), but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I earned my degree in Animal Science and Agriculture Education, which reflects my lifelong love of animals and the outdoors. I grew up on a family farm, where caring for dogs — from hardworking hunting dogs to beloved pets — was simply part of everyday life. Those early experiences shaped who I am today and deepened my appreciation for the bond between people and animals.
When I’m not teaching or spending time with my family, you’ll probably find me with a crochet hook in one hand and a good book in the other. I believe in slowing down, finding joy in simple things, and making meaningful connections — whether that’s in the classroom, at home, or out on a walk with my pups.

Hey there! I’m David, born and raised right here in Virginia. I’m a proud dad of four wonderful daughters and a lifelong dog lover. I’ve been training dogs for over 3 years, and it’s truly a perfect fit — I love helping people build trust and communication with their dogs.
When I’m not training, you’ll probably find me hunting, fishing, or at the racetrack. I’ve always loved being outdoors, working with my hands, and solving problems. Training dogs lets me combine all those passions into one rewarding purpose — helping dogs and their owners succeed together.

Basic Obedience Package
4 Private Lessons covering the core foundation every dog needs – $625
- Come (Recall): Reliable recall under distraction so your dog comes back when called.
- Sit: Teaching impulse control, focus, and a calm way to start/stop activities.
- Down: Stability and control in different environments (inside and outside).
- Place: Teaching your dog to stay calmly on a designated spot until released.
- Heel: Loose-leash walking at your side, no more pulling or dragging.
During these sessions we also address behavioral issues such as:
- Jumping
- Mouthing/nipping
- Barking
- Reactivity
- General household manners
This package is perfect for building a strong foundation and correcting common problems.
Basic + Advanced Package
8 Private Lessons that include everything in the Basic Package, plus – $1,150
- Advanced Distraction Work: Taking training out into the real world — busy areas like Downtown Fredericksburg, shopping centers, and parks.
- Proofing Behaviors: Ensuring commands hold under heavy distractions (people, dogs, traffic, noises).
- Polished Obedience: Teaching your dog to respond the first time, every time, no matter the environment.
- Confidence Building: Exposure to new places, surfaces, and situations so your dog stays calm and reliable.
This package is ideal for owners who want rock-solid obedience in any setting — from cafés and breweries to high-traffic downtown areas.

14-Day Board & Train
Our most popular program! Your dog will stay with us for 14 days in a structured, professional training environment, receiving hands-on, personalized work every single day. We cover all the essentials
– $3,000

What kinds of training programs do you offer?
We provide three structured programs designed to meet your dog’s stage and your goals: a foundational Basic Obedience package, a more advanced Basic + Advanced package for off‑leash & real‑world reliability, and our immersive 14‑Day Board & Train program. Each one is personalized for your dog’s unique personality, behavior and your household needs.
Where does the training take place and how is it delivered?
Most of our training happens in‑home and in real‑world environments—not just in a fenced yard or a class. We believe true obedience comes when the dog learns where it matters most: during walks, in the home, around distractions. Our Facebook videos show “real‑world focus” in action.
How do you address behavioral issues and ensure lasting results?
We’re experienced at working with everything from simple obedience (Sit, Stay, Come) to more complex behaviours like reactivity, barking, impulse control and leash pulling. We emphasise real‑world proofing, meaning your dog performs commands reliably under distraction. And we back all programs with lifetime support for you and your dog.
How do I get started and what happens after the program?
To begin, we’ll talk with you about your dog’s history, your goals, lifestyle and current challenges. Then we’ll choose the right package and plan a custom schedule. After the program ends, you’ll receive a turnover session (for Board & Train) and ongoing access to support, guidance and alumni options so your dog’s progress doesn’t stop when the program does.
